NEWARK, Ohio - The Newark Area Soccer Association announced Wednesday afternoon that they will be teaming up with the Military Order of the Purple Heart and Colorscapes By Design to help children participate in a the Buckeye Soccer Tournament in May.
Both groups are combing their efforts to help better serve the youth in the community. “Mr. Fracker (Owner of Colorscapes By Design) has such a deep interest and appreciation for our community that we are pleased to announce Colorscapes as NASA’s multi-year title Sponsor of the Colorscapes’ Buckeye Cup soccer tournament." Newark Area Soccer Association current director and original founder, Keith Loughlin said. The Newark soccer organization said that with the Military Order of the Purple Heart will be involved as tournament field marshals, presentation of colors, proper folding of the American Flag, and presentation of awards. "These gentlemen have given so much to help our country and they are once again giving of themselves so that our soccer tournament will have great success and meaning. We invite families from all over Ohio and surrounding states for a great weekend of fun and competition," Loughlin said. |
The Military Order of the Purple Heart organization hope that their participation in the event will raise awareness of the group and the continued dedication and sacrifice that their members make for their community. The soccer tournament will take place in Newark, Ohio on May 5 and 6. |
